Starting today – it’s Exercise with Your Child Week. What a great way to share with your children the importance of physical activity and work in some quality time while heading outside for a game, swim or hike.
Some recommended activities listed online are bike riding, jumping rope, playing tennis and even a game of hopscotch. And if you round up some families in the neighborhood, you could probably organize a fun game of kickball.
So get out there and get active. After all, a key component to maintaining a healthy weight is to balance calories consumed from all foods and beverages with those expended through physical activity and exercise.
