Happy Throwback Thursday! Did you know that at one time we were called the National Soft Drink Association? We changed our name to the American Beverage Association almost 13 years ago to better represent the expanded range of products our member companies make. It’s amazing the transformation our industry has undergone since its founding as the American Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages in 1919 – almost 100 years ago!

Walking down today’s beverage aisle, it’s easy to see our industry’s innovation. We represent hundreds of brands, flavors and packages, including regular and diet soft drinks, bottled water and flavored waters, 100 percent juice and juice drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks and ready-to-drink teas.
