America’s beverage companies have roots in every community across the country and they, along with their employees, work hard to serve those communities. Whether it is stocking the shelves at your local market or delivering donations to people in need, the beverage industry works hard to make sure our neighbors are taken care of.
When the pandemic hit earlier this year, beverage companies, along with many others across the food and beverage industry, quickly mobilized to provide support in critical and innovative ways. Several companies donated plastic, originally used for bottles, to make face shields, while employees crafted their own masks to donate to healthcare workers. When hand sanitizer supply dwindled across the country, they stepped up to produce and donate bottles to hospitals and frontline workers. And various companies even used their existing technology to manufacture test tubes and respirators to help make COVID-19 test kits and ventilators for patients in need.
As families were struggling to get the essentials to feed their families, bottlers worked with national and local organizations to provide free meals and beverages. And across the industry, our companies and employees provided funding for restaurant employee relief funds to help the tens of millions out of work restaurant workers across the country.
Whether they are providing food and beverages to those in need or lending a hand during the pandemic or when a natural disaster strikes, we are committed to supporting our communities. Altogether, America’s beverage companies and their employees generously contribute $1.5 billion to a wide range of charitable causes across the country.
