We've blogged many times about obesity, how it will take comprehensive solutions to turn back the clock on our nation’s obesity challenge, and what our industry is doing to be part of the solution.  Today we'd like to encourage you to read a timely op-ed by ABA President and CEO Susan Neely which was published in Oregon’s Portland Tribune.

Ms. Neely lays out the beverage industry’s multi-pronged approach to helping our consumers, customers and communities with products, policies and programs – from the School Beverage Guidelines and Clear on Calories to ongoing innovation in developing more no- and low-calorie and smaller-portion beverage options. She also shares the evidence on the small – and declining – role that sugar-sweetened beverages play in the American diet.
