A powerful earthquake hit Japan this morning, killing hundreds and causing tens of thousands to evacuate their homes.  The epicenter of the quake, Sendai, was hit with an 8.9 magnitude earthquake -- the most powerful earthquake to hit Japan in 100 years.  The quake, and multiple aftershocks, caused a tsunami, which has resulted in an enormous amount of destruction in Japan and neighboring countries.

The beverage industry has a long history of helping out in times of crisis and natural disaster such as this (Haiti, the California wildfires and Hurricane Katrina are examples).   Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this disaster.
