The grant, in partnership with the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthier America (ABFHA), will be used to support the city’s “Healthy City, Healthy Life” program.
“With the American Beverage Foundation grant that we are going to be getting, we know that the future of our community is empowered to do even more moving forward, and we thank you” said Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
Yesterday, the USCM and ABFHA were on hand to present the city and Mayor Goodman with the grant in Las Vegas and visited some of the schools and gardens that will benefit directly from their support. Through the expansion of the Healthy City, Healthy Life program, which aims to reduce the number of Clark County School District (CCSD) students who are overweight/obese, we can achieve real and lasting change.
