Every month, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) releases its monthly report on job creation. Recently FoodandBeveragePeople.com released new statistics, which show that:
“All segments of the food and beverage industry, including manufacturers, grocers and restaurants saw significant job increases in October netting a gain of 44,600 new jobs in those areas. Those new positions account for 21.86% of all U.S. job growth for the month.”
If you’re a regular reader of Sip & Savor, this comes as no surprise as the food and beverage industry continues to be a significant contributor to job creation.
The beverage industry alone has a direct economic impact of $141.22 billion, provides more than 233,000 jobs and helps support hundreds of thousands more that depend, in part, on beverage sales for their livelihood.
