Tomorrow is the first annual World Fitness Day and a day of activities offering education and awareness on issues related to fitness and health will be held in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.

Academy Award-winning actress, political activist and 1980s aerobics video maven Jane Fonda is organizing the event and will be joined by a diverse group of folks: fitness personalities Richard Simmons, Billy Blanks and Denise Austin; dancer/choreographer Debbie Allen; rapper Ludacris; 1970s R&B trio The Pointer Sisters; and CNN’s very own Dr. Sanjay Gupta.  All will participate in a day of fitness classes and entertainment geared toward educating and motivating people on the importance of health and exercise.

The celebration will benefit the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and participants are encouraged to bring friends and family along to join in the exercise.  And if they’re not up for working out, there is even a designated cheering section!  If you can’t make it to the festivities, check out the event online at www.worldfitnessday.org.
