Thousands of people from around the country have already started congregating in the nation’s capital to remember and celebrate the historic March On Washington. The march occurred 50 years ago on August 28, 1963. At the end of that march, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. This year, President Barack Obama will deliver a speech from the same spot.
If you’ve made the journey to be a part of this historic remembrance, the weather in D.C. is heating up, so be sure to grab a beverage and stay hydrated.
