Earlier this week, we took a look back on the best of 2017 but now we’d like to look ahead to 2018. Here are three of our 2018 resolutions:
America’s leading beverage companies take their commitment to the environment seriously. We pride ourselves on being leaders in helping protect our planet. Other industries talk about sustainability – we have built our technologies and our business practices around it. Here are a few of the ways the beverage industry leads when it comes to environmental sustainability.
In 2018, we will continue to integrate new technologies and practices that help protect our plant.
Over the last decade, we have been busy innovating to keep up with America’s changing tastes and because of that, the beverage aisle offers more choices than ever before. Today almost half of the of all non-alcoholic beverages purchased have no sugar. We’ve talked about what Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Pepsi brought you in 2017, but we expect even more great tasting beverages with less sugar and in smaller portion sizes in 2018. We are proud to be doing our part to help Americans reduce the sugar they get from beverages through our collective efforts. More at BalanceUS.org.
We are proud to provide 240,000 good-paying jobs in communities across our nation. We have a direct economic impact of $169 billion but even more importantly, America’s beverage companies and their employees also generously contribute $1.5 billion to charitable causes across the country. In times of crisis, our companies and their employees jump into action, providing relief and man hours in affected areas. This is because the members of our industry understand the importance of community and want to make the places they live, work and play even better.
Here’s to 2018!
